Tim is the founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Aerospace Development Center (NADC). NADC is a unique national nonprofit center that is independent and nonpartisan and promotes future economic growth potentials derived from space and enabled through a true aerospace approach to space access.

Tim previously served as the Executive Director of the Aerospace States Association (ASA), an organization that represents states on matters related to aerospace policy and development. Tim was appointed Executive Director on February 18, 2003 by the ASA Board of Directors which is composed of Lt. Governors and Governor appointed delegates from member states. As Executive Director, Tim’s responsibilities included overseeing day-to-day management, advancing policy positions and representing the organization on Capitol Hill and within the President’s Administration.

From 1996 to 2003, Tim served as the Director of the Office of Aerospace Policy, a state program office charged with advancing aerospace research, commerce, workforce development and education throughout Alabama. Tim was appointed to this position by the Governor of Alabama. He also served as the Governor's Advisor for Aerospace Affairs and Senior Space Policy Advisor from March 1999 to January 2003. Tim reported to and advised the Governor on matters related to aviation and space policy and aerospace industry development. Tim represented the Governor at meetings and events related to aerospace, and worked with agencies, officials, communities, organizations, companies and others. In addition, Tim served on the Alabama Commission on Aerospace Science and Industry as the Governor's designated representative and as a commissioner on both the Governor’s Task Force on Military Affairs and the Alabama Commerce Commission representing aerospace interests.

Considered by his peers to be among the nation’s leading experts in space policy, next generation spaceport development, aerospace education and aerospace workforce development, Tim’s other accomplishments include having been elected by his peers to three consecutive terms as the Chairman of the National Coalition of Spaceport States (NCSS) from 2000 to 2003, an organization that represents states engaged in the development of next generation space access facilities throughout the nation. Tim is a past Executive Director of the Alabama Aerospace Teachers’ Association, Executive Secretary of the Alabama Science Teachers’ Association, and Director of Aerospace Education for the Alabama Wing CAP/US Air Force at Maxwell Air Force Base, where he held the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.

Tim Huddleston has received numerous awards and honors. Most notably, he has received a Governor’s Commendation for Meritorious Service to the state of Alabama; an honorary Admiral’s Commission; and he is the 1998 recipient of the coveted Frank G. Brewer Award, the nation’s highest aerospace educator award awarded by the US Air Force. Tim is a native Alabamian who has written numerous works on aerospace policy and development, and is considered to be among the leading authorities in future space infrastructure development. Tim also travels around the country as an accomplished after-dinner and motivational speaker.

Currently, Tim is writing a book on the future of spaceflight entitled, “Where Do We Go From Here: The Future of Spaceflight’” which is expected to be on the bookshelves by summer of next year.

Mike Heney has been an active member of the space development and commercialization community for the past 30 years. He has been affiliated with the National Space Society (formerly the L-5 Society) since 1978. In 1993, he worked with SpaceCause to present the initial results from the DC-X program to the United States Senate. He has worked with ProSpace, a space policy lobbying organization, since its inception in 1995, and served as its Vice President in 1997. He was invited to join the Space Frontier Foundation in 1996, and as served as a member of the Board of Directors, as Chairman of the Board, and as Corporate Secretary.

He was awarded the 1997 ProSpace "Space Activist of the Year" award jointly with his wife Susan for their efforts in the space commercialization field, and the 2005 "Service to the Frontier" award from the Space Frontier Foundation for his continued service to that organization.

Mike is an all-around "computer guy", space policy consultant, and has worked with federal government contractor at NASA-GSFC.

Currently a Senior Reliability Engineer for Lockheed Martin, working on Project Orion. Has extensive knowledge of the propulsion and ECLSS subsystems on Orion in addition to general knowledge of the spacecraft as a whole.

Holds a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering along with a M.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Received a B.S. from UCLA in Mechanical Engineering.

While relatively young, has experience working on a variety of NASA contracts during his career. He has worked for the private space industry (Blue Origin), the commercial space industry (Lockheed Martin), and government space programs(NASA-KSC). Will bring fresh ideas and innovative thinking along with the experience working in a variety of space sectors.

How we see it /

It’s a new brand world.

Stimulation, experimentation and transformation.

Wherever you are – and that’s partly the point – branding’s on the move. Unremittingly, the game keeps changing.

We think these new occasions (opportunities? challenges?) call for a new form of branding consultancy: one with above average experience, talent and brains; a different and flexible way of working; and a richer understanding of the world.

Thoughtfulness and originality, yes. Formulaic process, no.

The obvious macro trends – the Internet, globalisation, the rise of customer power, etc. – influence our work profoundly.

Other sweeping forces are shaping branding’s context, too:

— the brand emerging as a powerful tool for non-commercial players, like charities, art museums, universities and political movements;

— the growing acceptance that for service brands and even some product brands, it is the proper branding of internal culture and not the corporate logo that truly begets competitive advantage and customer devotion;

— the re-invigorated meaning of provenance: the peculiar ways in which it matters where a brand is from (or at least is seen to be from);

— the rise of place branding, as nations, cross-border regions and tourist resorts all try to shore up their identities;

— the sometimes lunatic, sometimes corrective pressures of the no-logo movement that blames brands for making people fat and causing volcanoes.

Daily, we grapple with these forces in our work and soak them up in the streets, shops, souks, taxicabs, restaurants and cultures of the world. Regularly, we publish our thoughts and observations on our blog.

The organization operates and maintains the Royal Navy, British Army, and Royal Air Force. It offers troops training; aviation safety, repair, and air transport; defence management; and doctrine operation services. MOD was established in 1971 and is based in London, United Kingdom.

John C. Mankins, Star of Discovery Project Earth- Orbital Power Plant- on the Discovery Channel. President of Artemis Innovation Management Solutions LLC is an internationally recognized leader in space systems and technology innovation, and as a highly effective manager of large-scale technology R&D programs.

Mr. Mankins' 25-year career at NASA and CalTech's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) ranged from flight projects and space mission operations, to systems level innovation and advanced technology research & development management. He is also well known as an innovator in R&D management, and was one of the creators of the widely used "technology readiness level" (TRL) scale for technology assessment.

Before leaving NASA, Mr. Mankins was the manager of Exploration Systems Research and Technology within the Exploration Systems Mission Directorate with responsibility for an $800M annual budget, involving more than 100 individual projects and over 3,000 personnel. For 10 years, he was the manager of Advanced Concepts Studies at NASA, and the lead for critical studies of space solar power, highly reusable space transportation, affordable human exploration approaches, and other topics. He was the creator or co-creator of numerous novel concepts, including the "MagLifter' electromagnetic launch assist system, the Internet-based NASA "Virtual Research Center" the "Solar Clipper" interplanetary transport vehicle, the "SunTower" space solar power system, the "Hybrid Propellant Module" for in-space refueling, the "HabBot" mobile planetary outpost architecture, the Advanced Technology Life cycle Analysis System (ATLAS), and others. In recognition of his accomplishments, he has received numerous awards and honors, including the prestigious NASA Exceptional Technology Achievement Medal (of which he was the first recipient).

He holds undergraduate (Harvey Mudd College) and graduate (UCLA) degrees in Physics and an MBA in Public Policy Analysis (The Drucker School at Claremont Graduate University). Mr. Mankins is a member of the International Academy of Astronautics (IAA), the International Astronautical Federation (IAF), the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA), and the Sigma Xi Research Society.

Mr. Mankins is an accomplished communicator, including political, programmatic, technical and lay audiences. He has authored or co-authored more than 70 published papers, reports and other technical documents, and has testified before Congress on several occasions, and has been consulted on R&D management and space issues with organizations in the U.S. and internationally.
